Okay, but haunted

The rooms are okay. A bit sticky floors, but nothing insurmountable. But my main issue is that it’s haunted here. My friend’s computer kept turning on episodes from a series with a danish lyrics and on another episode than she was watching, even though she closed the tab and left the room. Also, a door to a closet we never opened was closed when we left, and when we came back the door was ajar. Very strange. Also the hotel is surrounded by drug dealers.

The room was cleaned, sheets were new and kitchen and bathroom were ok. However the floor was sticky several places, only hastily mopped and dirty with grime. The room smelled like an English pub, cold smoke and spilled booze. The door of the bathroom cabinet had been removed, hence no mirror in the apt. One of the towel holders was half dismantled and the bottom shower holder damaged. The chairs would have fitted a prison, the drawer was missing a piece, so fell nearly apart. The blinds were damaged, the lights above the two beds nearly fell off the wall and the TV didn’t work properly. One of the lightbulbs in the ceiling light flickered. First we thought there was no hot water in the kitchen, turned out hot and cold were plumed the wrong way round. Running cold long enough… gave hot water. Just that the tap nearly fell out the kitchen board. For a room at nearly hotel price… well you judge! Some other guests arrived at 3am, partied, had sex while we could hear everything, but didn’t invite us… really a let down!

Arrived around 5pm having already received our entry code by text and email. Check in was simple and quick. We were on the seventh floor and had a large balcony. Room had basic equipment and amenities - fine for a couple of nights. We didn't hear a thing either night we were there. The room was dark and whilst there was a table and chairs in the kitchenette, there was nowhere to chill, except for in bed. The area around the apartments is multi-cultural with a few grocery stores and restaurants. Top tip: take the Radisson Blu exit from the train station and Forenom is only a 5 minute walk away.

Shady area plus no internal lock on door meaning we didn’t feel particularly safe. Locking system felt inadequate. Would not recommend checking in after dark. Basic amenities and a very small studio space.

I want to be fair to the hotel but we had one thing after another with this place. Firstly we arrived and couldn't get hold of customer service so we could put our bags in the luggage room. Spent 30 minutes trying to get through and in the end was given the wrong code! Luckily one of the staff helped us out after an hour of waiting around. Then when our room was ready we went up and it had not been cleaned. Old wet towels on the floor and dirty sheets. They found another room, but again we had to call (no front desk) - so another 15 minutes on the phone. The response was "I don't think we have another room"!!! Finally got a clean room - well relatively clean. Room is okay. Small but nice to have the fridge and kitchenette. Bathroom is ridiculously tiny. Overall not great. it felt like a hostel more than an hotel. Area is not great at night and we came back to a dozen men hanging out the front smoking.
